1. Where are you from? and introduce your self.
My name is Lens To The Future aka Hollywood Lou. I was born in Port De Paix, Haiti but I moved to Atlanta, Georgia when I was 5 years old and I’ve been here ever since. Haiti made me but Atlanta raised me, I’ve been in love with music for as long as I can remember but I didn’t want to be a rapper/ musician until I moved here. Hip hop inspired me to learn the English language and made it easier to speak.
2. Is it difficult to be a rapper?
It can be extremely difficult to be an artist because it’s allot of competition out there. And majority of the time it isn’t even based on talent just popularity so if you’re not poppin people aren’t listening and it’s all up to you to make them want to listen. You have to constantly put money into yourself and take a shot and grind your butt off until you get some momentum going for yourself then you’ll start to see some pay back.
3. Who are you inspired by?
My list of inspirations honestly is extremely long because I like to listen to a very large variety of music as long as it’s good music I’m gonna rock with it. My favorite artists are T Pain, Lil Wayne, TI, Gucci mane, Kanye West, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Lauren Hill, Mary J Blige, J Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Future , Jay Z & OutKast. Haitian Kompa also was something I listened to heavy growing up. So all those artist & genres of music have inspired me one way or another.
4. What music are you pushing right now? where can readers find you and your music.
I just dropped my album “The opening act” back in November it’s a very unique album because all songs on the album are actually dope ass tracks and they’re all different vibes for different moods. I have bangers for the clubs, the streets, parties , the love birds & the hopeless romantics. It’s a vibe you don’t want to miss out on.
5. What makes you different from a lot of artist?
I’m different from every other artist out there because I can rap, sing and song-write at an industry level but I’m an underground artist so when people discover me they’re always surprised that I’m so slept on. I’m extremely diverse when it comes to content so you won’t feel like you’re listening to the same song with different beats, I have the ability to talk about allot of things and I can harmonize so that I can make it all sound good and actually make sense. My music is going to last a very long time because people can relate to my lyrics and and enjoy my unique sound and style.
6. Tell us about your upcoming project.
I’m currently in the writing stage for my next project which will most likely be released in March of 2021 , Its going to be called “Hollywood Lou “ and that will be the beginning of me spamming songs out to the public it’ll have some remixes on there and new anthems and vibes to get lit, sad and happy to.
7. What is your biggest accomplishment as a rapper?
My biggest accomplishment as an artist so far is to have over 200k streams on my music without a team or any real help.
