DEE BOMB – LONG GAME ENERGY: TWO DECADES OF GRIND, GROWTH & GREATNESS
As he enters his 20th year as an active artist, Dee Bomb steps into a milestone moment with his fifth studio album, Long Game Energy, set to drop December 12th. A project born from evolution, confidence, and a renewed love for the craft, the album marks a new chapter for the Minnesota lyricist—one defined by maturity, momentum, and a celebration of everything he’s built along the way.
A Dual Concept: Confidence Without Arrogance
At its core, Long Game Energy blends two powerful themes.
The first is growth—his musical evolution, sharpened over years of projects, performances, and self-reflection. The second dives into the realities artists face behind the scenes, similar to the biographical music films we’ve all watched. The result is an honest portrayal of the highs, lows, lessons, and internal battles that shape an artist’s reality.
Dee Bomb is known for being humble, but his supporters have long wanted to hear him “talk his ish.” This album offers that confidence, but without ego—what he describes as “confidence over arrogance.”
A More Soulful, Bouncier Dee Bomb
Compared to his past releases, this album carries more soul, more bounce, and a fusion of the boom bap he loves with sounds inspired by multiple regions. Fans can expect sharper rhyme schemes, infectious rhythms, and a fresh energy similar to his earlier single “They Know What’s Up.”
It’s a project crafted not only for headphones but for the stage—high-energy moments built for live shows and crowd engagement.
Life Wins, New Roles & Unmatched Momentum
And in a career milestone that even he finds surreal, he headlined events at Mall of America and even the MSP Airport—a wild achievement considering his stage name.
All of these accomplishments poured directly into the creative fuel behind Long Game Energy.
The First Fully Self-Produced Dee Bomb Album
Recording, mixing, and mastering all happened in his home studio, often between midnight and 6 AM. Each night he completed one song, stacking countless beats and verses before trimming everything down to his strongest work yet.
Collaborations include:
-
Cudlino, a longtime collaborator
-
Crisis Fresh, an artist he’s admired for years
-
Shardae, whose vocals bring a beautiful emotional lift to the album
Every feature was intentional—each one added texture and completeness to the record.
The Standout Tracks
Though he loves every song on the album, a few tracks hold special meaning:
-
“Not New to This” – a drill-influenced, high-energy record that shows a new side of Dee Bomb.
-
“Theories” – him talking his talk with honesty and frustration other artists will relate to.
-
“Livin the Lifestyle” & “Love vs Art” – two of his personal top favorites, built around the tension between passion, relationships, temptation, and ambition.
-
“Long Game Energy” – his favorite beat and hook, elevated by Shardae’s soulful performance.
He describes her contribution as the “woman’s touch” that tied the entire album together.
The Message Behind the Music
“Take this album as an example of chasing your dream and keep going… the accomplishments could be endless.”
No Pressure. Just Freedom.
Unlike past albums, this one came with zero creative pressure. No industry politics, no need to outperform the previous release. Just freedom and pure expression.
And sometimes, freedom creates the best art.
What Makes “Long Game Energy” Different?
In a landscape full of trends and microwaved projects, Dee Bomb delivers something rare—authenticity. Grounded in Midwest energy, his story, his logic, and his individuality shape the album from front to back.
“It’s my journey, my résumé… hip hop raw & real—and people will respect the real.”
