For Scotti, music has always been about bringing people together. Long before BigYard Nation was founded, his journey began as an eighteen-year-old musician performing with the Columbia Records recording group Spiral Starecase, sharing stages with legendary artists including Ray Charles and Nancy Sinatra. Those early experiences laid the foundation for a career spanning more than five decades as a singer-songwriter, guitarist, producer, entrepreneur, and creative visionary.
Yet despite decades in the music industry, Scotti says his motivation has never truly changed.
"Music found me at an early age because it had the power to take me places that brought people together in ways words alone never could," he explains. "That same belief still drives me today—not to chase fame, but to create songs that encourage, inspire, and remind people they're not alone."

"It grew from the idea that the world is one big backyard where people from every culture, generation, and background can gather through music," Scotti explains. "It's more than a brand, it's a community built on the belief that great songs can build bridges, create understanding, and inspire positive change. God owns it, we just play in it."

"Styles come and go," Scotti reflects, "but honest stories about love, hope, loss, perseverance, and redemption remain just as meaningful decades later as they are today."

"If I had to choose one," Scotti says, "it would be Give It Away. At its heart, it's about living generously with our time, compassion, and love, a simple idea that captures what BigYard Nation is all about."

While BigYard Nation continues releasing new music, Scotti sees the songs themselves as only the beginning.
"Songs are often the beginning of a conversation, not the end of one," he explains.
That realization has inspired the expansion of BigYard Nation into cinematic video productions, podcasting through BigYardCast, artist interviews, film projects, and collaborations with nonprofit organizations whose missions align with the values expressed in the music.
Rather than separating entertainment from community impact, Scotti believes the two naturally belong together.

The millions of streams and industry recognition are appreciated, but they aren't what he remembers first.
Instead, he recalls hearing from someone whose sobriety was strengthened after listening to Proof.
He remembers a teacher explaining how Poets & Heroes inspired thoughtful classroom discussions.
He remembers learning that Weight of the World was embraced by a prison reform organization supporting formerly incarcerated individuals rebuilding their lives.
"Those moments will always mean far more to me than royalties or accolades ever could," Scotti says.
Looking Ahead
The future of BigYard Nation shows no signs of slowing down.
Alongside continued music releases, new cinematic videos, podcasts, and creative collaborations, Scotti is preparing one of his most anticipated projects yet.
Following the overwhelming response to the a cappella remix of State of Mind, BigYard Nation plans to release Voices Beyond in early 2027, a five-song a cappella EP produced by JB Craipeau and Larry Antonino.
The collection will feature the celebrated State of Mind remix, fresh vocal arrangements of Give It Away and Happy Day, along with two brand-new original compositions created specifically for the project.
It's another step in Scotti's ongoing mission to prove that authentic storytelling and meaningful music still have an important place in today's world.
