Exclusive Interview with NHBrooklyn

From Queens, New York, born in Brooklyn and now based in Jacksonville, Florida, NHBrooklyn is more than just an artist—he’s a one-man machine. As an independent artist, he writes, sings, produces, mixes, and masters all of his own music. “When it comes to music, I do everything,” he says proudly.

His love for music began early. Growing up in a house full of women, he was exposed to R&B, soul, house, Latin, and pop before eventually gravitating toward hip-hop. He recalls finding his voice while still in school, from banging on lunchroom tables to spitting Busta Rhymes lyrics in the hallways. Those early influences created a foundation of rhythm, wordplay, and drive that still fuels him today.

When asked who inspired him most, NHBrooklyn doesn’t hesitate: “The streets.” Surrounded by vivid stories and immersed in New York’s hip-hop culture, he found influence in legends like Max B, 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J, and DMX. That mix of raw storytelling and grit pushed him to carve out his own lane. His music now embodies that same energy—gritty, real, boom-bap, gutta-type hip-hop with heavy influences from Griselda and Mobb Deep, all grounded in a true Queens vibe.

As for his creative process, NHBrooklyn keeps it real. “Hella weed… nah, but for real—trauma. It just brings you back. Life is vivid, and music is my therapy. I leave it all on the track.” His ability to translate raw life experiences into music gives his songs an authenticity that listeners feel instantly.

When it comes to dream collaborations, Wiz Khalifa tops his list. “That’s the bro. That type of longevity is what I want,” he explains.

Right now, NHBrooklyn is preparing to drop a major collaboration project with Food4Though_777 titled “Hood Food.” He describes it as something completely different: fresh production, new sounds, and a project that stands in its own lane. Fans should definitely keep an eye out for this one.

At the same time, he’s pushing G.E.B. (GrindSeason x ExtendedFam x BlackRose Cartel). The project is already available on all platforms, and NHBrooklyn makes sure to shout out the entire G.E.B. movement and DJ Chizzle Beatz for their work.

Like many artists, he has concerns about the industry’s current state. Seeing Cardi B promoting and selling her album on the sidewalk inspired him to reflect on how hustle and grind used to be essential. “Nowadays it comes too easy. It’s oversaturated. Bring back that footwork,” he urges.

To his fans, NHBrooklyn delivers a powerful message: “Stay true to you. You’re gonna run into trials and tribulations, but don’t forget—you do have control over you. As long as you stay true, the sky’s the limit.”
