EATON CANYON FALLS
“Eaton Canyon Falls” is the first
single from his debut album ECLECTIC EUPHORIA that embodies a country rock
feel. The song is inspired by the resilience and hope of the
community that endured the Altadena fires in the Los Angeles area. Nzondi also
credits John Denver’s song TAKE ME HOME, COUNTRY ROADS as a major
influence for the lyrics he wrote.
The song tells a compelling story
about an older couple looking back on when they first met and fell in love
as teenagers.
The Official YouTube video is OUT NOW.

Nzondi is an award-winning author, singer and
music producer from New York who now resides in Los Angeles, California. Author
of horror novels, Confessions of Sylva Slasher (2013), and Lipstick Asylum
(2021), he is the first African-american to win the prestigious Bram Stoker
Award in a novel category for his book, Oware Mosaic (2019), becoming a trailblazer in the literary arts.
Being that his father, Chris Acemandese Hall,
wrote the lyrics to a few jazz classics, including Miles
Davis’s “So What” (sung by vocalese pioneer, Eddie Jefferson), it could be said
that the apple didn’t fall far
from the tree now that Nzondi has creatively expanded from writing spine-tingling
books to singing rock-infused songs. Influenced by the Stone Temple Pilots,
Blink-182 and Seattle-bred bands Soundgarden, Nirvana and the Jimi Hendrix
Experience, Nzondi’s music is a blend of rock, pop and funk.
