been recognized with a nomination for the 2025 Grammy® in the category of Best
Contemporary Blues Album. This nomination marks a significant milestone in Glenda’s

About Glenda Benevides 

 Glenda Benevides is an American singer-songwriter, author, and podcast host from Bay Area California. A member of the Recording Academy since 2021, Glenda has toured internationally—from Japan to Europe and the UK, performing at events such as the Edinburgh Rock & Blues Festival, the South African Film Festival, and the AOF Film Awards. She has graced prestigious stages, including the Brava Theater, Beverly Wilshire, and Kuumbwa Jazz Center, and has sung for causes like The Trevor Project and fundraisers for Senator Doug Jones and Dennis Kucinich. An accomplished author, Glenda has published Courage, Find Your Fire and Ignite Action in Your Life, Soul On Fire, and Own The Goddess Within. She has also collaborated with artists like Toto, Pink Martini, and Damian Perkins. Glenda's achievements include winning Best Score for Change – Orphans in the Storm at the AOF Film Festival. Through her work, she supports causes like climate restoration and One Tree Planted, making a meaningful impact through art and advocacy.
