Michael McDonald Looking To Inspire The Miami Music Scene

Hip-Hop artist, Founder, Creator, and CEO of Miami Pop Up, Michael McDonald, is revolutionizing the Miami Music Scene through his legacy. As a local Miami Hip-Hop artist, better known as Made in Philly to his fans, McDonald released his first album "South Street to South Beach" in September 4th, 2020. The layered album presents a mixture of endlessly-playable array of tracks with deftly-produced beats accompanied by raw, skillful lyrics. Reaching 100k streams on music platforms, Michael’s hit showed no sign of slowing down. Stemming from his own passion for music, McDonald wanted to design an environment of exposure for artists and entrepreneurs alike by creating the Miami Pop Up. On February 4th, 2019, McDonald’s first Miami Pop Up event became a platform for local independent artists and entrepreneurs to showcase their talent, budding businesses, and individual brands. Making his dream a legacy, McDonald’s monthly Miami Pop Up showcases the epitome of the diverse Miami culture at various venues selling out the event weeks in advance. The event has hosted artists including New York rapper & artist Dave East, NFL star Jerome Baker, Jim Jones, Trina, DJ Stevie J, Foreign Teck, Tory Lanez, and DJ Bodega. Made In Philly was also apart of Miami Donda with Kanye West. Having experienced multiple hardships in life himself, McDonald is aware of the impact small gestures can make in people’s lives. Driven to further give back abundantly to the community, McDonald founded The Give Back Foundation. Through the foundation, McDonald makes it a point to ensure that those gestures are done in the most impactful way possible for those in need. The foundation hosts numerous events that provide water, food, clothing, and health and wellness vendors to the homeless and those in need. The foundation also holds annual holiday events such as the Give Back Toy Drive where they also accept donations through Christmas Eve. Like the Miami Pop Up, the events for the Give Back Foundation continuously grow with each event showing the significance of value and dedication for the foundation. Through his music and promotional efforts, McDonald knows that growth means nothing if you are not also honorably giving back to the community that contributed to your growth. As McDonald continues to impact the local community through events, he also is prepping to inspire the Miami Music Scene further with his sophomore Made in Philly release, "Pandemic Pack", accompanied by numerous album tracks.
