Innocent?

In the United States, one of the legal system’s tenets holds that an individual is innocent
until proven guilty. Such concepts need not apply to the streets. And in the case of
Innocent? Vs. The People, the jury is still out. As the judge and listener, you are
presented with two versions of the same story: one the hand, the defendant claims to be a quiet, law abiding honor roll student from the projects in East New York, Brooklyn, while on the other, the prosecutor sees a hoodlum who has had his share of troubles for various illicit activities. It’s up to you to rule a decision. Your evidence.... The music. Innocent?’s lyricism and beat selection is a clear return to his roots of Hip-Hop, when masses of people would gather around two turntables in the local park to watch freestyles
or to just “get down”. Not only can Innocent? entertain, he can also educate. Innocent? approaches the mic like a diligent student in class, while drawing influences from the greats before him, such as Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, and the Notorious B.I.G, 2Pac, Nas, and more. All Innocent? needs for inspiration is a dope beat for his pen to hit the pad allowing him to express his passion for the art and what he knows best – his lifeexperiences. It’s not just about securing a major deal for Innocent?. Like any other person standing trial, Innocent? needs to have his story heard. From watching Hip-Hop grow organically in the parks and building lobbies of hisneighborhood, to now sharing his lessons and stories on the mic and on screen, Innocent? is contributing nothing but that real, old school boom-bap flavor to hiphop. Since
releasing his double album Love It Or Hate It in late 2014, Innocent? has also released a
fully produced, Stan Da Man project called Whip Appeal, as well as releasing Escape 2
Alcatraz, an album fully prod. by Alcatraz Ed. Innocent?’s music can be found on all
digital media outlets. There’s also a soon to be released project from Innocent? and
Queens’s own Nutso, which has 2 singles/visuals already out. Let’s not forget Innocent?
also released a 3 part project on DatPiff called The Reign Vol 1,2 & 3. Innocent? recently
released - 28 – Black Hisstory Month this past February. This project consists of 28
verses on 28 beats (produced by Stan Da Man), for the 28 days of February. 28 is
phenomenal. Innocent? touches on real life. With assists from the late great Sean Price,
to Sadat X, Smif n Wessun, Fame (M.O.P.),Roc Marciano, Shabaam Sahdeeq, Tragedy
Khadafi, Royal Flush, and more, Innocent? vows to keep putting out nothing but great
hiphop to the people. Let the trial of Innocent? Vs. The People commence....
