Hypokrit

Hypokrit is an R&B/Hip Hop artist of DyBoy Records & OddFellow Entertainment based out of Colorado. He was born in Anaheim, CA on December 24th, 1992 & was first introduced into music at age 8, when his mother bought him an electric guitar. When he was 11 years old, he & his friends in a small town in Utah started up a punk band; but was short lived as their drummer had a serious drug problem.  As the song writer, Hypokrit was able to come up with lyrics at any point in time, at the snap of his fingers, so it was no surprise that he quickly grasped onto the concept of freestyling at age 12 & began to freestyle as he walked to school every morning, because he was too poor to afford a Walkman. After years of freestyle battles in the schoolyard, he hit his first studio recording at age 14 & recorded his first rap song "First Steps" & "GodFather" under the name of G.B.A. (Guilty By Affiliation). It wasn't until he was 19 years old that he adopted the name "Hypokrit" & began seriously pursuing a music career. He came up with the name during a deep spiritual journey he embarked on, where he came to the conclusion that he himself was indeed a true hypocrite who held others to expectations that he did not hold unto himself. Wanting a faithful woman while he was unfaithful, preaching about being positive & productive members of society while he was committing crimes; & even explains in a step deeper that his name is also a representation of every artist in the mainstream music industry who make music glorifying activities & behavior that they themselves do not indulge in. Real recognizes real, right? Now at the ripe age of 24, Hypokrit has gained popularity with his controversial image & his offensive lyrics, & has been blessed to share a stage with the likes of Tech N9ne, Kirko Bangz, Krizz Kaliko, Kutt Calhoun, Ces Cru, Mayday, Jarren Benton, Johnny Richter of KMK, Haystack, Twiztid, Blaze Ya Dead Homie, Boondox & Lex the Hex Master (just to name a few).
